Until now, climate adaptation efforts for cities in Marin County have been an everyone-for-themselves system. On Tuesday, the county’s new chief climate officer will present to the Board of Supervisors a plan for a countywide approach to climate resilience.
Five years after a civil grand jury criticized the county for taking too long to establish a governance structure for countywide climate adaptation, the county has established a new sea level rise team under the office of the county executive.
