Staffers with the office of San Francisco District 9 Supervisor Jackie Fielder are asking for privacy and patience as she navigates a “mental health condition” that has led her to announce a leave of absence.

Fielder, who has represented the city’s Mission District since January 2025, is suffering from an “acute personal health crisis,” an aide said Friday after the supervisor hadn’t been at City Hall for about two weeks.
