Collin Morikawa won the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf tournament Sunday, the first PGA Tour victory for the University of California, Berkeley alumnus since 2023.
Morikawa shot a final-round 67 to finish 22 under par and one shot ahead of the field, including making a birdie on the 18th and final hole at Pebble Beach Golf Links along the Pacific Ocean with a short putt to clinch the win and $3.6 million top prize.
The four-day tournament in Monterey County was the first signature event of the PGA Tour’s 2026 season, with a limited field of 80 players and a higher purse of $20 million. Eighty amateur celebrities and VIPs like football star Travis Kelce played in the first two rounds on Thursday and Friday. The pro golfers played three rounds at Pebble Beach and one at nearby Spyglass Hill Golf Course.
Morikawa has won two of golf’s major tournaments, including the 2020 PGA Championship at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, but hadn’t won on the PGA Tour in more than two years. After making the winning putt Sunday, he wiped away tears on the 18th green and announced afterward that he and his wife are expecting their first child later this year.
