Fort Bragg’s Noyo Harbor Inn is betting big on two of the world’s favorite vices with the launch of its new curated whiskey and cigar program.

The luxury inn’s onsite restaurant and bar, the HarborView Bistro & Bar, boasts more than 100 whiskeys. According to the hotel, it’s the largest selection on the Mendocino Coast.

A brief glance at the bar’s new whiskey list shows the breadth of the growing collection. Offerings range from leathery American bourbons to hard-to-find Taiwanese and Indian single malts. Enthusiasts will also find plenty of whiskies from Scotland.

And don’t forget to drink locally — the HarborView also offers whiskeys produced in Mendocino County.

To celebrate its growing selection, the bar offers four curated whiskey flights, including “A Taste of Mendocino” ($30), offering pours of Charbay and Mendocino Spirits whiskeys, and the “Wide World of Whiskey” ($35), which features unique international tastes.

Handcrafted bitters

The celebration of the beloved brown spirit continues with a craft cocktail menu using the HarborView’s line of handcrafted bitters, along with whiskey pairings at dinner.

There’s also a new “Whiskey Lover’s Package” for hotel guests that includes flights, a 20% discount on whiskey purchased onsite, and a special tasting at Noyo Harbor’s own Schnaubelt Distillery.

The hotel has also opened an outdoor cigar lounge — the first in Mendocino County.

The cozy covered space features a fire pit, communal seating, and a partial view of the harbor. The bar offers a small cigar menu, with prices starting at $24. Guests can also bring their own cigars to smoke. More information is available on the Inn’s website.
