The City of Vallejo’s Public Works Department is stepping up rodent abatement in the downtown and waterfront areas, officials said.
Working with pest control experts, city crews have reported a noticeable decline in rodent activity in recent weeks, according to a press release issued Friday.
The intensified effort, which includes abatement measures and street sweeping, will continue through the end of the month with ongoing monitoring, officials said.
“The dedication and hard work of our staff are making a real difference in our community,” said Assistant City Manager Nalungo Conley. “We deeply appreciate their extra efforts, and we remain committed to fully resolving this issue.”
