Marin Catholic High School is hosting a prayer service this week for a North Bay family missing amid flooding in Texas.

A spokesperson for the school said a 6 p.m. service will take place on Tuesday at St. Sebastian’s Church for Mark Walker, 52, Sara Walker, 50, and Johnny Walker, 14. The three live in Kentfield and went missing while visiting Hunt, Texas.

Johnny is going to be a freshman at the school in the fall and a daughter, Ellie Walker, is a current student. Ellie was at a summer camp in Texas, but is not missing and posted a flyer of her missing family members on social media.

“At the request of the Walker family, we are declining to comment at this time,” said Lisa Johnston, a school spokesperson.

Media will not be allowed inside at the service.

At least 89 people have died because of the flooding, Texas officials said Monday.

The floods took place in Kerr County after the Guadelupe River rose quickly due to heavy rains on Friday.

Officials said an additional 41 people across the state are missing.
