The Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit shuttle in Larkspur has expanded service to seven days a week due to demand, the agency said.

The SMART Connect Larkspur shuttle was launched in June 2024 to offer transportation to and from the Larkspur station, the Golden Gate Larkspur Ferry Terminal, and the surrounding Larkspur Landing area and has carried over 6,500 passengers so far, the agency said.

The service’s expansion to seven days a week is set to align with the start of the San Francisco Giants season, “to serve the many hundreds of riders who make the connection between the SMART train and Golden Gate Ferry to travel to Oracle Park,” the agency said.

The SMART Connect Larkspur shuttle provides an alternative to the Central Marin Ferry Bicycle/Pedestrian Bridge, linking the SMART Larkspur station with the Golden Gate Larkspur Ferry Terminal, as well as serving the surrounding Larkspur Landing area on-demand. It can also carry up to two wheelchair users onboard.

Seniors ages 65 and older and youth 18 years and under ride free on SMART Connect shuttle and the SMART train. One-way fare is $1.50 for adults and $0.75 for persons with disabilities.

The shuttle will run Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. and then 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, the shuttle will run from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and then 12:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the agency said.
