The West Contra Costa Unified School District will host a series of town hall meetings focused on the district’s search for a new superintendent.
The district said the meetings are open to families, staff and community members as part of its commitment to ensure every voice gets heard in the selection of the next superintendent.
The meetings are designed to provide multiple opportunities for the community to share insights on the priorities and qualities they want in the district’s next leader.
A survey is now open and available in English, Spanish, and Arabic. Members of the community can provide feedback through the survey, which will be available through March 10.
The first town hall meetings will be held Monday, Feb. 24, at five locations across the district. Times and meeting sites are posted online.
On Tuesday, the district will host a hybrid in-person and virtual meeting via Zoom in two sessions, at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., in the multi-purpose room at DeJean Middle School in Richmond.
A second hybrid meeting will be offered the next night, Feb. 26, at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., at the library at Richmond High School.
