Three incumbents were still comfortably ahead Wednesday morning in the race for four spots on the Lafayette City Council.
While the results were unofficial, the Contra Costa County Elections Office said 100% of precincts had reported.
Councilmember John McCormick was leading with 29.68% of the vote (6,983 votes), ahead of fellow board members Mayor Gina Dawson (27.67%, 6,510 votes) and Carl Anduri (27.57%, 6,486 votes).
Challenger Lauren McCabe Herpich was in fourth with 15.08% (3,547 votes).
In the race for the two-year seat to finish out the term vacated by Teresa Gerringer’s retirement earlier this year, Jim Cervantes (53.46%, 4,653 votes) was leading former Albany City Councilmember Mario DiPrisco (46.54%, 4,051 votes).
