Though Maureen Toms was ahead of Devin Murphy by 23 votes Wednesday, both will likely be re-elected to the Pinole City Council.
That’s because there are two seats open. Planning commissioner Truc “Christy” Lam-Julian was third, with 21.41% (1,762 votes).
Toms leads the way with 38.94% (3.061 votes), followed by Murphy’s 38.65% (3,038).
Though the Contra Costa County Election Office said 100% of precincts have been counted, the results are still unofficial.
