Concord’s two incumbents took early leads over the challengers in the races for two open seats on the Concord City Council.
Mayor Edi Birsan had a slight lead over Pablo Benavente, 36.775% (2,241 votes) to 36.05% (2,197 votes) in a District 4 race that was too close to call Tuesday night.
Myles Burks is in third with 17,15% (1.045 votes) and Matthew Dashner is in fourth with 10.04% (612 votes).
District 2 Councilmember Carlyn Obringer has an early commanding lead over Eric Antonick, 76.85% (4,149 votes) to 23.15% (1,248 votes).
