The Alameda County Library will make library cards a little more interesting for basketball fans this school year.
Beginning next Wednesday, students will be able to check out their favorite books from Alameda County Libraries with a new Golden State Warriors-themed library card.
In celebration of National Library Card Sign-Up month and the launch of the new cards, the Warriors and Alameda County Library will host a pop-up event at the REACH Ashland Youth Center in San Leandro at 3 p.m. Wednesday.Â
At this event, readers can sign up for new cards, pick up Warriors swag, and meet with Acting County Librarian Deb Sica and Warriors senior vice president of government and community relations Yoyo Murphy.
