Meals on Wheels in Walnut Creek is looking for a few good doorbells.

“Many of our seniors need doorbells, but can’t afford to purchase one, can’t get to the store, or do not have online shopping knowledge,” the nonprofit said in a statement. “Without a doorbell, some seniors are missing their meals because they can’t hear our volunteers at the door.”

The group is asking for people to donate doorbells for them to deliver to seniors in need.

“We are specifically looking for KERUI Wireless Doorbells, which can be purchased through Amazon,” the group said.

Donations can be sent directly to Meals on Wheels Diablo Region and delivered to the group’s temporary office space at 2001 North Main St., Suite 300, Walnut Creek, 94596.

Meals on Wheels said they can’t receive packages at their Civic Drive location.

“Thank you for helping us keep our seniors nourished, safe, and independent,” the group said.
