Fairfield police used surveillance cameras earlier this week to track a vehicle driven by two people believed to be behind a retail theft spree, both of whom they ended up arresting.
Police said at 3:38 p.m. an officer began tracking the vehicle allegedly used by two people “related to a relatively small retail theft at Walgreens.”
The officer tracked the vehicle to Target, where officers used Flock surveillance cameras on the vehicle, waiting for the occupants to return before conducting a traffic stop.
Police said the occupants were inside Target, allegedly stealing more items.
A vehicle search allegedly turned up evidence that the suspects, identified as 26-year-old Faith Bowman and 25-year-old Khalia Vonner, were involved in organized retail theft.
Police arrested both people and recovered what they said was a “substantial amount of merchandise from retailers across Solano County.”
