Traffic has reopened in Stockton after a fire truck struck a house as part of a multi-vehicle collision that left several injured.

One driver, a man, was listed in critical condition, another man had minor injuries and four firefighters also suffered minor injuries.

Police said they received a report Wednesday at 7:03 a.m. about a multi-vehicle collision at West Lane and East Alpine Avenue.

At the scene, officers said they found various vehicles involved in the crash, including the fire engine.

Before the crash occurred, the fire truck was responding to a structure fire, but they were allegedly hit by another car, according to the Stockton Firefighters Local 456 union.

According to police, the four firefighters involved in the collision got out of the truck and began tending to those involved in the crash.

Two of the firefighters were taken to a hospital and the other two self-transported to the hospital, police said. The traffic resumed Wednesday afternoon.
