Four measures to fund school districts in San Mateo County all appeared headed for passage, according to preliminary results from Tuesday’s election.
Measure C for Jefferson Elementary School District, Measure E in the Woodside Elementary School District, Measure G in the Pacifica School District and Measure H in the San Carlos School District were all on Tuesday’s ballot and each was ahead of the threshold needed for approval as of early Wednesday morning.
The Measure C $88 parcel tax lasting nine years needed two-thirds approval and had more than 69 percent of the vote, while the other three school measures were above the 55 percent yes votes needed to approve bond issues for their respective districts, according to the unofficial results.
Also on the ballot in the county was Measure B, which required two-thirds approval to pass and was at more than 86 percent. It proposed renewing for four years a tax of up to $65 per parcel for police and firefighter services in County Service Area No. 1, which covers the unincorporated San Mateo Highlands as well as Baywood Park and Baywood Plaza.
