The Golden State Warriors’ home game against the Dallas Mavericks that was scheduled for Friday has been postponed in the wake of the death of Warriors assistant coach Dejan Milojevic.

Milojevic had a heart attack during a team dinner in Salt Lake City on Tuesday night and died Wednesday morning, prompting the postponement of the Warriors’ Wednesday night game against the Utah Jazz.

With the team still in mourning, the National Basketball Association announced Thursday that the Warriors’ Friday game against Dallas at Chase Center in San Francisco is also being postponed to a later date.

Milojevic was in his third year as a Warriors coach, with his first season being the team’s 2022 NBA Championship run. He is from Belgrade, Serbia, and played professional basketball internationally for 14 years prior to his coaching career.
