The San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors has picked its new chair and vice chair for 2024, county officials said this week.
Supervisor Miguel Villapudua was elected unanimously as the new chair of the board, with Supervisor Paul Canepa as vice chair, county officials said in a statement.
Villapudua was first elected to the board in 2016 and took office in January 2017. He is serving the final year of his second term and will restricted by term limits from seeking the office again, according to county officials.
Canepa was elected to the board in 2022 and is serving his first term as supervisor.
