The 10th edition of BottleRock Napa Valley festival took place this weekend, drawing large crowds to a sunny Napa for live music, delectable food and wine and lots of activities.
This year’s lineup featured global stars like Lizzo, Post Malone and Red Hot Chili Peppers, as well as local artists and bands.
“So much incredible music comes from the Bay, always has; it’s humbling to be chosen to play at one of the best music festivals in America and represent the Bay Area at BottleRock,” The Band High Noon guitarist Ian White said. The group performed twice on Friday, on the Truly Stage and at a JaMPAD session.

Indie-pop artist Sloan Struble, better known as Dayglow, took the stage Saturday to much fanfare. “I love playing in the Bay Area; the people are great,” Struble said in an interview. The 23-year-old musician released his third studio album “People in Motion” last year. “I didn’t realize while making music that I was making it so fast,” he explained. He is a self-taught producer, songwriter and vocalist, creating groovy bedroom pop music.

Also bringing groove to his set was legendary guitarist Nile Rodgers & Chic, who performed on Saturday. Rodgers told the crowd about how he not only writes music for himself, but has done so for other artists, before playing some of those hit records including Diana Ross’ “I’m Coming Out,” Madonna’s “Like a Virgin” and “Material Girl,” Beyoncé’s “CUFF IT” and Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky.”

Saturday’s headliner Lizzo wowed the audience with an electrifying performance featuring her hit singles, such as “Rumors,” “Truth Hurts,” and “About Damn Time.” She also performed a magical cover of Ms. Lauryn Hill’s “Doo Wop (That Thing)” and danced on stage with great passion, ending the day on a high note for the festival goers.
