Leaders of Oakland’s Black community and others are maintaining their call for Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao to reinstate Police Chief LeRonne Armstrong whom she placed on administrative leave last month.

The group, which includes the Oakland chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, is asking for a meeting with Thao this week “to discuss this urgent matter.”
