The Emergency Food Bank will be hosting a holiday food giveaway Dec. 21 for families and people facing food insecurity in San Joaquin County.

The food bank will be handing out a turkey and side dishes per household on a first-come, first-served basis.

Anyone receiving food must have an Emergency Food Bank identification card or must show a photo ID and proof of residency in the county.

According to the food bank, volunteers will place food items directly into the trunks of vehicles in order to have a contactless distribution.

The food giveaway will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., but the lineup begins at 6 a.m.
