A new pedestrian bridge spanning U.S. Highway 101 in Palo Alto received an official welcome recently when Palo Alto officials cut the ribbon on the $23.1 million project.
The Highway 101 Pedestrian/Bike Bridge Project replaces the seasonal Benjamin Lefkowitz Underpass that was available only half the year (on average) due to seasonal flooding. It provides a new access route to Baylands Nature Preserve and East Bayshore Road amenities and businesses.
