After years of legal and political volleying, the Martinez City Council has finally signed off on a developer’s plan to build 65 houses on the former Pine Meadow Golf Course — a deal that will also create the city’s first new public park in two decades.
The golf course closed in April 2015 and almost immediately became a hot potato of competing interests.
