Vallejo City Hall will be closed to the public starting Tuesday in light of a sharp increase of COVID-19 cases, city officials announced.

To respect COVID-19 health restrictions and to curb the spread of the virus, City Hall, located at 555 Santa Clara St., will close its doors for in-person services.

City staff will continue to provide services to the public remotely, as was done during the first closure during the pandemic earlier this year.

Drop boxes at the front of City Hall will be available to the public for bills and other services.

Community members are encouraged to shelter at home, practice good hygiene, avoid social gatherings, wear face coverings, and to make essential trips only.

The city added it is tentatively expected to reopen its doors in January, though the reopening will depend on the number of COVID-19 cases in Solano County as well as on any county or state Orders.
