The California Domestic Workers Coalition has called on domestic workers and allies to protest in San Francisco to express their outrage at Gov. Gavin Newsom’s veto of a health and safety bill.
Senate Bill 686, otherwise known as the Health and Safety for All Workers Act, proposed by Sen. Scott Wiener, D-San Francisco, would have protected the health and safety conditions of domestic workers and employers under the authority of the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health.
