Pedestrian safety advocates are reiterating their call for improvements to hundreds of San Francisco intersections following the traffic collision death of an 80-year-old man in the city’s Mission District earlier this month.

Jian Huang died after being struck by a vehicle around 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 20 in the area of 18th and Valencia streets, where officers found him unconscious, police said. He was taken to a hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
