Evictions

Rent relief may be available through local programs.

Applications are no longer open for the statewide COVID-19 Rent Relief Program. State law extended eviction protections until June 30, 2022, for qualifying applications received by March 31. But eviction protections do not extend for non-payment of rent after March 31. That means tenants must pay rent and utility bills as of April 1. Visit housing.ca.gov for more info.

DMV

DMV offices are open and providing service to customers with appointments and others as time and space allow during the COVID-19 pandemic. Most DMV tasks can be taken care of without an office visit.
